Angkor Wat’s Western Entrance Acces & Western Road Closure for an
Official Ceremony to be held on Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd December 2017
According to an official letter from the APSARA Authority dd. 28 November 2017 to all concerned Agencies and Tour Operators in Cambodia, there will be an Official Ceremony to be held outside the compound of Angkor Wat Temple by the Western Road and Western Moat of the Temple on coming Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd December 2017.
Angkor Wat Temple will still be accessible to visitors on both days, however, all types of vehicles will need to be parked at the Eastern entrance and visitors will access/exit the Temple to/back through the Eastern Entrance. As the Ceremony will be taking place on the Western side of Angkor Wat and outside the compound, visitors will still be able to enjoy sunrise inside the compound by the pools. Also note that the front road leading from Angkor Wat to Angkor Thom and other temples will be OFF-limits to all types of vehicles and alternative roads (Road 60m., small & grand circuit roads) are to be taken by vehicles.
