Cambolac

Cambolac aims to help alleviate poverty in Cambodia through work inclusion. They give vulnerable communities the means to benefit from tourism.

Cambolac, a Cambodian Social Business, is a Siem Reap based Handicraft Company designing and manufacturing lacquer ware souvenirs. Cambolac employs vulnerable poor populations from Angkor’s Park and hearing impaired young adults to manufacture and sell Cambolac original designs and genuine picture in lacquer and hand paint souvenirs

Cambolac’s proprietary lacquer technology allows us to create unique souvenirs with Picture In Lacquer, showing amazing Angkor temples and beautiful Cambodian nature. We offer a choice of more than a hundred different hand-made souvenirs and home decoration products ranging from boxes, candles-holders to candles, trays, and plates in different sizes.

“VISITING CAMBOLAC WITH A DEAF GUIDE”

It is unique as you will be offered not only to discover our one-month long lacquer process but also to enjoy a visit guided by one of our deaf employees (50% of our workers are hearing-impaired), who will teach you a few words in Khmer sign language.

Let’s give us a chance to share the experience together in discovering this new activity in a casual and quiet environment.
