Since 1991, the organization has played a pioneering role in the rebirth of education in Cambodia, concentrating its activity in the rural areas.
SIPAR’s goal is to open doors on the world through the pleasures of reading. The project is to get children and young people on the road towards knowledge, the first step in the battle against illiteracy and poverty.
For over 23 years, Sipar has helped Cambodia fight illiteracy and develop school and public reading. A real enrichment to this program has been the establishment of a publishing branch for books in Khmer language fourteen years ago.
