EARTHNOWA

“Asnowa” of the Asnowa Group.
“As” stands for “earth” and “tomorrow” (“the future of our children”), and
“wa” means circle of friends and cycles.
Our dream is to create a prosperous region, nurture a new society, and create a system to protect the earth’s environment.
To that end, we will create a lot of friends.
If you have friends, you can do anything. You can enjoy anything.
Together with our colleagues, Asnois will connect the circle of hope for tomorrow and take on
the challenge of social issues.

Asnowa’s Initiatives

For the past 70 years, this company has been dedicated to recycling waste paper into new paper. Today, they handle various recycling operations, from collecting, transporting, and disposing of industrial and general waste, to processing recycled resources and confidential documents, and managing the KOSHINOWA recycling station.

When disposing of documents or information devices like personal computers, it’s dangerous to discard them as is, since they contain sensitive information like personal details. At Koa Shoji, they safely dissolve, crush, and erase such highly confidential documents and equipment, subsequently recycling them as raw materials.

In various regions of Japan, the number of agricultural workers is declining, and the amount of abandoned farmland is on the rise. Asnova rents these abandoned farmlands from local residents and revitalizes them through cooperative farming efforts. Individuals with disabilities have become producers, cultivating delicious vegetables. Naturally, the vegetables they grow are delivered to the local community.

Oakung Chulan envisions a world where people with disabilities and able-bodied individuals coexist happily in society without discrimination. Through “Crusa,” a Type B business supporting continued employment, this vision is becoming a reality.

The SDGs are global goals to be achieved by 2030 for the benefit of the earth and all its inhabitants. As an SDGs facilitator for the Imako Collaboration, Asnowa introduces the 2030 SDGs game and showcases SDGs initiatives at schools, government bodies, and companies. They are actively involved in dissemination and educational activities.

Leveraging expertise developed in Japan, Asnowa has founded a company in Cambodia and, alongside Cambodian employees, is addressing the nation’s garbage mountains daily. They are currently collaborating with international organizations on a new project aimed at solving Cambodia’s waste problem.

Globally, this organization provides swimming instruction in developing countries and supports soccer players abroad. In Japan, they have supported the women’s soccer team in Aichi Prefecture. Through sports, they aim to bring smiles to people’s faces.
