The eastern part of the Kingdom of Cambodia offers some great opportunities to discovering the Mekong Riverine life and charming towns such as Kratié and Steung Trèng, the eco-tourism sites and the nature. Further East towards the Vietnamese borders are Ratanakiri and Mondolkiri provinces and their many respective hilltribes. New development and new roads are threatening their live-hood, customs and traditional ways of living, however, Responsible and Sustainable Tourism is currently being encouraged by several NGOs and development projects working along with the communities.
